Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED and two years related experience; or an Associate Degree in a healthcare or service-related field. Related experience includes an environment requiring multi-tasking, within an administrative/physician's office or retail/service industry.
  • Other Qualifications: Qualified candidates must be customer-focused, service-oriented, possess strong verbal/written communication skills, and can trouble shoot, problem solve, and balance conflicting demands. Role requires independent decision making and sound judgment capabilities, with strong attention to detail and follow through. A demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment, manage difficult and emotional situations, remains calm under stress, displays empathy and maintain positive communication is also required. Must have strong keyboarding and computer skills. Demonstrates basic understanding of insurance terminology.
  • Preferred: Previous medical experience preferred in a hospital or clinic outpatient setting, including knowledge of procedures. Certification as Medical Assistant (MA), Patient Care Assistant (PCA), or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) preferred.
  • License/Certification: Successful completion of Clinic Operations approved medical terminology course within 6 months of position start date is required. Completion of Basic Life Support training, MRI Safety training and Safe Patient Handling education are also required based on assignment. CPR certified or certified within 90 days of date of hire.
