Job Summary
The Post-Contract Quantity Surveyor is responsible for managing all commercial and contractual aspects of construction projects after contract award.
The role ensures financial control, cost management, contract compliance, and maximization of project profitability while minimizing commercial risks.
**Key Responsibilities**1. Contract Administration
- Administer and manage construction contracts (e.g., FIDIC, JCT, NEC or bespoke contracts).
- Interpret contract terms and conditions to protect company interests.
- Manage contractual correspondence and notices.
- Ensure compliance with contractual obligations..
2. Interim Valuations & Payment Certification
- Prepare and submit interim payment applications.
- Assess and certify subcontractor payments.
- Evaluate variations and ensure accurate valuation.
- Manage retention, advance payments, and final accounts.
3. Variations & Change Management
- Identify, assess, and price variations.
- Negotiate variation orders with clients and subcontractors.
- Maintain variation logs and change registers.
- Ensure timely submission of claims.
4. Claims & Dispute Resolution
- Prepare and evaluate Extension of Time (EOT) claims.
- Assess disruption and prolongation claims.
- Support dispute resolution processes including adjudication or arbitration.
- Maintain comprehensive records to support claims.
5. Procurement & Subcontract Management
- Assist in subcontractor selection and appointment.
- Prepare subcontract agreements.
- Manage subcontractor performance and commercial compliance.
- Negotiate final accounts with subcontractors.
6. Reporting
- Prepare monthly commercial reports.
- Provide management with accurate financial status updates.
- Support project audits and financial reviews.
Key Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of construction contracts and commercial law
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills
- Analytical and problem-solving ability
- Strong numerical and financial management skills
- Risk management expertise
- Proficiency in MS Excel and cost management software
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related field
- 5+ years’ experience in post-contract quantity surveying
- Professional membership (preferred), e.g., Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) or Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB)
- Experience in large-scale construction projects (buildings projects preferred)
Job Type: Full-time
- Pay: AED10,000.00 - AED12,000.00 per month
- Ability to commute/relocate:
- Dubai: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)

- QS - Post Contract: 2 years (Preferred)
