The Role
We are looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor and Estimator with a strong background in interior design and fit-out in Qatar.
The candidate must be confident in producing accurate cost estimates and BOQs at all project stages, from early concept through to final account.
A good understanding of procurement processes, supplier coordination, and logistics is expected as part of the role.
Experience
3–5 years in Qatar, preferably in interior design, fit-out, or construction
Education
Bachelor’s Degree — CIPS certification is an advantage

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed cost estimates at all project stages — concept, schematic, tender, and construction
- Produce accurate Bills of Quantities (BOQ) for finishes, materials, furniture, and fit-out works
- Carry out value engineering and cost planning to align designs with budget targets
- Review and analyse contractor and supplier quotations; identify discrepancies and risks
- Monitor and control project costs throughout execution; report variances to management
- Prepare interim valuations, variation orders, and final accounts
- Coordinate closely with the design team to ensure all specifications are fully and accurately costed
- Support material and finish selection by providing cost comparisons and budget-aligned alternatives
- Liaise with suppliers and forwarding agents to support order tracking and delivery coordination
- Maintain organised records of estimates, BOQs, cost reports, and related documents
Requirements
- 3–5 years of QS and estimation experience in Qatar
- Strong background in interior design, fit-out, or construction projects
- Proven ability to produce accurate, detailed estimates and BOQs independently
- In-depth knowledge of the Qatar market — local suppliers, contractors, and cost benchmarks
- Good understanding of procurement processes, logistics, and INCO terms
- Excellent attention to detail and a structured, methodical approach
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines under pressure
- English required — Arabic is an advantage
Advantages
