Key responsibilities

• include:
• Prepare detailed cost estimates, budgets, and tender documents based on drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
• Conduct quantity take-offs and measurements for all project trades.
• Analyze and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations to ensure cost competitiveness and compliance with project requirements.
• Prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQ), cost plans, and procurement schedules.
• Monitor project costs and expenditures against approved budgets and provide regular cost reports to management.
• Manage variations, change orders, and claims, ensuring proper documentation and commercial evaluation.
• Prepare interim valuations, payment applications, and final accounts.
• Negotiate contracts and commercial terms with subcontractors and suppliers.
• Evaluate subcontractor progress claims and certify payments.
• Identify and mitigate commercial risks throughout the project lifecycle.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, designers, procurement teams, and clients to ensure commercial objectives are achieved.
• Review contract documents and ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
• Assist in project forecasting, cash flow management, and financial reporting.
• Ensure all quantity surveying activities comply with company policies, project specifications, applicable regulations, and industry standards.
• Support management in maximizing project profitability while maintaining quality and client satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Minimum 10 years of Quantity Surveying experience in the UAE, preferably in interior fit-out, construction, and renovation projects.
• Strong knowledge of UAE construction practices, market rates, procurement procedures, and contract administration.
• Proven experience in cost estimation, budgeting, tendering, and contract management.
• Proficiency in preparing Bills of Quantities (BOQ), quantity take-offs, and cost analysis.
• Strong understanding of FIDIC and other standard forms of construction contracts.
• Experience in managing variations, claims, and final account settlements.
• Excellent analytical, negotiation, and commercial management skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, AutoCAD, and quantity surveying software.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to liaise effectively with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in commercial and financial reporting.
• Valid UAE driving license is preferred.
