Key tasks and responsibilities

• Serve as a point of contact for craft supervisors seeking current standards, codes, technical publications, inspection tools, and measuring instruments.
• Ensure inspection forms use the standard format and are completed monthly.
• Maintain quality records and related codes and standards.
• Coordinate between the facility or vessel and Administrative Office on Corrective Action Register issue status.
• Assist in establishing a process to measure non-conformances, including production delays and unnecessary transport or vessel movements.
• Assist with preparation for ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISM, and ISPS code audits and with corrective-action closures.
• Help expedite facility issues relevant to quality.
• Assist with facility and vessel KPI measurements.
• Maintain registers for ladders, below-hook lifting devices, corrective actions, training, and material safety data sheets.

Essential qualifications and education

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong computer skills.
• Organized and disciplined, with well-developed communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills to deal effectively with operational management across the organization.
