Role Description The Quality Manager is a part-time, hybrid role based in Abu Dhabi, with a combination of on-site work and some work-from-home flexibility.
The role involves developing, implementing, and maintaining quality management systems, policies, and procedures for electrical contracting projects, including design, installation, maintenance, and renovation activities.
The Quality Manager will conduct inspections, audits, and root cause analyses; monitor compliance with relevant standards, codes, and regulations; and coordinate corrective and preventive actions with project and site teams.
Daily responsibilities include reviewing technical documentation, validating testing and commissioning processes, maintaining quality records, and reporting key quality metrics to management.
The role also requires collaborating with engineering, project management, and HSE teams to drive continuous improvement, train staff on quality standards, and support client and regulatory audits.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001), procedures, and documentation in construction or electrical contracting environments.
- Technical understanding of low voltage, low current, lighting systems, solar energy, or smart home automation, with the ability to review drawings, specifications, and test reports.
- Experience with quality audits, inspections, nonconformance management, root cause analysis, and corrective/preventive action planning.
- Proficiency in using office and quality-related software (e.g., MS Office, document control systems, basic data analysis tools) and preparing clear reports and dashboards.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with site teams, engineers, suppliers, and clients in a multicultural environment.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks in a part-time, hybrid setting and work independently with minimal supervision.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field; relevant certifications in quality (e.g., ISO 9001 Lead Auditor, Six Sigma) are an advantage.
- Previous experience in quality roles within electrical contracting, construction, or energy sectors in the Middle East is preferred.
- Working proficiency in English is required; Arabic language skills are an added benefit.
