Quality Control Senior Engineer

Role overview

Civil quality inspections

• Ensure civil works comply with approved drawings, project specifications, applicable standards, and client requirements.
• Inspect excavation, backfilling, soil compaction, earthworks, and foundations for transformers, GIS buildings, control rooms, gantries, and other equipment.
• Monitor concrete reinforcement, formwork, pouring, curing, and strength testing.
• Inspect structural steel, equipment supports, cable trenches, duct banks, manholes, and underground utilities.
• Verify survey levels, dimensions, alignment, and setting-out against approved drawings.

Quality planning and coordination

• Review and implement Quality Control Plans, Inspection and Test Plans, Method Statements, and inspection procedures.
• Coordinate inspections, tests, and quality approvals with clients, consultants, third-party agencies, and construction teams.
• Review material approvals, test certificates, technical submittals, and civil subcontractor quality documentation.
• Coordinate with civil, electrical, planning, and construction teams to resolve technical and quality issues.

Records, testing, and closeout

• Prepare, review, and maintain inspection requests, material inspection requests, and quality documentation.
• Identify and follow up on non-conformance reports, site observation reports, and corrective and preventive actions.
• Ensure laboratory and field tests are performed, including soil compaction and concrete cube tests.
• Maintain inspection reports, test results, and quality records; support as-built drawings, final quality dossiers, and project handover.
• Participate in internal, external, and client audits and ensure timely closure of findings.
• Monitor quality performance and close outstanding inspections and quality issues; guide Civil QC Engineers and Inspectors.

Quality and compliance

• Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 requirements, project HSE procedures, and client-specific quality standards.
