About This Role
QA Specialist
is responsible for ensuring the quality and functionality of software applications and systems developed or implemented by the IT Department.
The role includes designing and executing test plans, identifying and tracking defects, and ensuring all solutions meet quality standards and business requirements before deployment.
Responsibilities
- Review business and technical requirements to ensure clarity and completeness
- Design, develop, and execute detailed test plans, cases, and scripts for new and existing systems
- Conduct various types of testing: functional, regression, integration, system, UAT, and performance
- Track and manage defects using test/defect management tools
- Collaborate with developers, analysts, and stakeholders to resolve issues and improve quality
- Validate fixes and enhancements before production deployment
- Ensure compliance with IT standards, policies, and procedures
- Support test process automation where applicable
- Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and project planning
- Maintain QA documentation: test reports, traceability matrices, and release notes
- Support go-live and post-deployment testing
- Work closely with cybersecurity to ensure secure releases
Skills & Qualifications
- 3- 5 years of experience in software QA or testing
- **Fluency in Arabic & English is mandatory.**
- Experience in government or public sector IT environments is a plus
- Familiarity with financial systems is highly desirable
- Strong knowledge of QA methodologies, tools, and processes
- Experience with .NET web applications (ASP.NET MVC, .NET Core, Web API, etc)
- Hands-on experience with test management tools (e.g., Microsoft DevOps)
- Proficiency in SQL for data validation
- Experience with automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Postman, JMeter) is a plus
- Solid understanding of SDLC and Agile methodologies
