Quality Assurance Officer - Power Distribution

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Deliver technical training, refresher sessions, and competency development on distribution network standards and practices.
• Induct employees, subcontractors, and field personnel on network requirements and project expectations.
• Review client standards, manuals, instructions, and operational updates and translate them into practical field guidance.
• Serve as the subject matter expert for overhead and underground distribution network activities.
• Conduct field audits, observations, and compliance inspections; identify risks, trends, and improvement opportunities.
• Investigate audit findings and site learnings to establish root causes and corrective actions.
• Improve training materials, SWMS, procedures, work instructions, and technical guidance.
• Coach supervisors, delivery managers, and field crews on network requirements.

Requirements and desirable qualifications

• Extensive power distribution network experience and understanding.
• A qualification in Powerline Distribution, ESI, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent is required.
• Proficiency with SHEQ systems, ERP, and other work management systems is required.
• Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or Diploma of Quality Auditing is desirable.
• Work diligently and build relationships with clients and team members.

Compensation

• Advertised benefits include $140,000–$160,000 inclusive of superannuation; the pay cadence is not specified.

Schedule

• Full-time, Monday to Friday, 38 hours per week.

Workplace

• The role can be based in Brisbane, Toowoomba, or Townsville and includes periodic field work.
