Quality Assurance Manager

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Develop and continuously improve QA strategies, standards, processes, and quality metrics.
• Lead and mentor QA engineers and build a culture of quality and continuous improvement.
• Define and oversee test plans, test cases, test data management, and functional, regression, integration, performance, and user acceptance testing.
• Champion scalable, maintainable automated test frameworks and automation practices.
• Use AI-assisted testing to accelerate test creation, optimize coverage, identify defects, and improve releases.
• Manage defect triage, prioritization, root cause analysis, and resolution tracking.
• Use test management tools to maintain test traceability, reporting, and compliance.
• Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines with DevOps and engineering teams.
• Analyze quality trends, report actionable insights to leadership, and ensure organizational, security, and quality standards are met.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• At least 5 years of QA experience, including leadership or team management responsibilities.
• Strong expertise in test automation frameworks, methodologies, and quality engineering practices.
• Hands-on test management platform experience, such as Xray, Jira, Azure DevOps Test Plans, or equivalent.
• Experience implementing automated testing in Agile, Scrum, and CI/CD environments.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred qualifications

• Familiarity with AI-powered testing tools for generating test cases or test data is preferred.
• Cloud-native quality engineering experience is preferred.
• API, UI, integration, and performance testing tools and frameworks experience is preferred.
• ISTQB, Certified Agile Tester, or equivalent certification is a plus.
