Quality Assurance Engineer

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to test features and report issues clearly.
• Execute manual test cases and support automated test development for mobile and backend platforms.
• Validate features during sprints and contribute to regression and exploratory testing.
• Document bugs and test results in Jira.
• Participate in sprint planning and backlog grooming, providing a QA perspective.
• Support initiatives to improve test coverage and reduce bug leakage.
• Use Firebase, Datadog, and Postman to validate backend behavior, error rates, and app stability.
• Follow and contribute to QA processes across the product lifecycle.

Requirements

• 1–3 years of experience in software quality assurance or a similar role.
• Familiarity with Agile software development and testing practices.
• Experience testing iOS and Android mobile applications and backend APIs.
• Ability to write clear, concise bug reports and test documentation.
• Basic understanding of test automation tools and CI/CD pipelines.
• Fluency in Arabic and a good command of English.

Nice-to-have skills

• Exposure to automation frameworks such as Appium, Postman, or Cypress.
• Familiarity with AI tools for test case generation, exploratory testing, test data creation, or bug analysis.
• Interest in AI-driven QA, automation, and tools that improve testing efficiency and software quality.
• Knowledge of QA metrics and reporting tools.
• Familiarity with Jira, GitHub, TestRail, or similar tools.
• ISTQB Foundation Level Certification or similar.
