Job Summary

The QHSE (Quality, Health, Safety & Environment) Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining food safety, hygiene, health & safety, and environmental management systems across all restaurant, café, and catering operations.

The role ensures full compliance with UAE regulatory requirements and international standards, while promoting a culture of safety and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities1. Quality & Food Safety Management

  • Implement and monitor food safety systems based on **HACCP** principles.
  • Ensure compliance with UAE food safety regulations and municipality requirements.
  • Conduct regular audits across outlets, central kitchens, and catering sites.
  • Monitor food handling, storage, temperature control, and hygiene practices.
  • Manage pest control programs and supplier quality standards.

2. Health & Safety Compliance

  • Develop and enforce health & safety policies and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with UAE labor laws and safety regulations.
  • Conduct risk assessments and implement corrective actions.
  • Investigate incidents, accidents, and near-misses, and prepare reports.
  • Ensure proper use of PPE and safe work practices.

3. Environmental Management

  • Promote sustainability initiatives such as waste reduction and recycling.
  • Monitor water, energy usage, and waste disposal practices.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental regulations in the UAE.

4. Training & Awareness

  • Conduct regular training sessions on food safety, hygiene, and workplace safety.
  • Ensure all staff are certified (e.g., Food Safety Level 2/3 as required).
  • Develop training materials and maintain training records.

5. Audit & Compliance

  • Lead internal and external audits (municipality inspections, third-party audits).
  • Ensure outlets are always audit-ready.
  • Maintain documentation for ISO standards (ISO 22000, ISO 45001, ISO 14001 if applicable).
  • Coordinate with government authorities during inspections.

6. Documentation & Reporting

  • Maintain QHSE manuals, SOPs, checklists, and records.
  • Prepare periodic reports on compliance, incidents, and improvements.
  • Track KPIs related to quality, safety, and environmental performance.

7. Continuous Improvement

  • Identify gaps and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
  • Drive a culture of continuous improvement and best practices.
  • Support new outlet openings with QHSE setup and compliance.

Requirementseducation

  • Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Environmental Health, Occupational Health & Safety, or related field.

Experience

  • Minimum **5–8 years of QHSE experience** in:
  • Restaurants / Café chains
  • Catering companies / Central kitchens
  • Strong experience in UAE regulations and municipality inspections.
  • Proven experience handling multi-branch operations.

• HACCP Certification (mandatory)

  • Food Safety Level 3 or equivalent

• NEBOSH And IOSH (Health & Safety)

  • ISO Lead Auditor (ISO 22000 / 45001 / 14001 preferred)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED7,000.00 - AED12,000.00 per month
