About This Role
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect copper tubes, aluminum fins, headers, distributors, and other components.
- Verify supplier quality certificates and ensure materials meet specifications.
- Monitor coil manufacturing stages: fin stamping, tube expansion, brazing, assembly, and pressure testing.
- Check dimensions, fin spacing (FPI), tube alignment, header/bushing quality, and brazing workmanship.
- Ensure correct application of refrigerant circuits as per drawings.
- Conduct visual and dimensional inspection of completed coils.
- Perform pressure test, leakage test, and verify coating/painting standards.
- Ensure proper packaging and labeling before dispatch.
- Prepare QC reports, NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports), and maintain inspection records.
- Verify compliance with customer specifications and ASHRAE/ARI guidelines.
- Ensure adherence to ISO, safety, and quality management systems.
- Support root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA).
- Assist in internal audits and customer inspections.
& Competencies
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Ability to read engineering drawings and coil circuit diagrams.
- Knowledge of measurement tools (vernier, micrometer, pressure gauges, leak detectors).
- Good communication and reporting skills.
- Understanding of ISO 9001 and quality control standards.
