Role overview

Salary

• Salary is £31,000–£34,000 per annum, depending on experience.
• An 8.5% shift allowance applies to all night-shift hours once fully trained.

Shift pattern

• During training, the role follows a two-week rotation of early shifts from 06:00 to 14:00 and back shifts from 14:00 to 22:00.
• Once fully trained, the three-week rotation also includes night shifts from 22:00 to 06:00.

What you will do

• Test raw materials, finished goods, and factored products; release products that meet specification.
• Complete production-area hygiene testing and support calibration of laboratory and production measuring equipment.
• Maintain laboratory records and computer-based quality documentation; prepare samples for external laboratory analysis.
• Support weight and volume compliance checks and work with Production and Engineering to uphold quality and food safety.
• Follow company procedures, legislation, and safe working practices.

Requirements

• Production or manufacturing experience is required; prior quality control, quality assurance, or food manufacturing experience is preferred but not essential.
• Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office and web-based systems.
• Attention to detail, accuracy, strong communication and organizational skills, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Flexibility to work rotating shifts and a basic understanding of food hygiene and health and safety requirements.
