Based in the UK IT team, the role builds repeatable, auditable testing across bespoke Java/PostgreSQL applications and third-party integrations.
The role addresses competing testing needs across concurrent go-lives and projects, including Wholesale Finance, Multi-pick, and Ireland Scan to Van.
Testing responsibilities
- Develop and execute test plans, cases, and scripts for new features, integrations, and go-lives.
- Perform functional and regression testing and coordinate user acceptance testing for bespoke applications.
- Identify, log, and track defects through resolution with Development and Business Analysts; prioritize fixes ahead of go-live.
- Build formal QA processes and documentation and own testing workstreams across parallel projects.
- Coordinate with the Infra/DevOps Engineer on test environment setup, configuration, and data refreshes.
- Escalate quality risks and testing gaps to the BA Manager.
Quality and compliance responsibilities
- Follow applicable company policies, procedures, work instructions, and relevant legal and regulatory requirements.
- Follow the Quality Management System (ISO 9001), Environmental Management System (ISO 14001), and Good Distribution Practice requirements.
- Complete required training, maintain competence, and keep accurate, complete, timely records.
- Promptly report deviations, incidents, non-conformances, environmental incidents, and other concerns.
- Support process operation and improvement, help prevent errors and risks, and cooperate with audits by providing accurate evidence.
- Understand how work contributes to product quality, customer satisfaction, compliance, environmental performance, and company objectives.
About you
- Proven experience in a QA/Test Analyst role, ideally in a software, SaaS, or bespoke-application environment.
- Experience writing and executing test plans, cases, and scripts for manual testing; automated testing experience is desirable.
- Familiarity with defect tracking and test management tools such as Jira.
- Understanding of the software development lifecycle and QA best practice in an Agile or hybrid delivery environment.
- Experience testing integrations, ERP or business systems, or bespoke applications is advantageous.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage competing testing priorities across concurrent projects.
- Good communication skills and comfort working closely with Business Analysts, Developers, and Infrastructure/DevOps colleagues.
