The QA/QC (Quality Assurance/Quality Control) Manager is responsible for ensuring the quality of materials, installations, and processes align with project specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
The role involves developing quality assurance plans, conducting inspections, managing non-conformances, and ensuring continuous improvement in quality standards.
Key Accountabilities
- Develop and implement project-specific QA/QC plans for Civil activities.
- Define quality objectives and establish procedures, protocols, and benchmarks for performance evaluation.
- Ensure alignment of QA/QC processes with client requirements, industry standards, and company policies.
- Conduct inspections and tests on materials, equipment, and installations to ensure compliance with project specifications.
- Supervise site quality inspectors and technicians during all stages of the project.
- Verify subcontractor and vendor quality plans and ensure their compliance with project requirements.
- Identify, document, and address non-conformances in materials or workmanship.
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Maintain a non-conformance log and provide regular updates to stakeholders.
- Ensure all civil activities comply with applicable codes, standards, and regulations.
- Coordinate with regulatory bodies for inspections and certifications as required.
- Maintain documentation to support compliance and audit requirements.
- Work closely with project managers, engineers, and construction teams to integrate quality control into project schedules.
- Communicate quality requirements and expectations to all stakeholders, including contractors and vendors.
- Provide technical support and guidance on quality-related matters during project execution.
- Organize training sessions for site teams to enhance awareness and understanding of quality standards.
- Keep the team updated on changes in quality standards, codes, and industry best practices.
- Prepare detailed QA/QC reports, including inspection and test results, deviations, and corrective actions.
- Maintain an organized repository of quality documentation for reference and audits.
- Present quality performance metrics and updates to senior management and clients.
- Analyze project performance data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Recommend and implement initiatives to enhance quality processes and reduce defects.
- Perform any other related tasks required by the direct manager.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering is a MUST
