Role overview
Verify materials and mill test certificates and confirm compliance with codes and company requirements during IMIR clearance.
Quality and welding duties
- Conduct welding procedure qualification tests and maintain PQRs for structural, tank, and piping works.
- Prepare WPS documents and conduct procedure qualification tests at site as required.
- Verify welding consumable BTCs and conduct necessary qualification tests.
- Prepare job procedures and ITPs for structural, piping, and tank works.
- Conduct periodic internal site audits.
- Visually inspect fit-up and welded joints for structural, tank, and piping works.
- Conduct welding surveillance before, during, and after welding.
- Conduct NDT inspections and prepare inspection records.
Site inspections and test packages
- Coordinate day-to-day inspections with the customer.
- Prepare, review, and verify piping test packages at site and track pending activities.
- Obtain NDT clearance for piping test packs.
- Witness hydrotests of tank and piping systems.
Requirements
- Verify materials and mill test certificates for compliance with applicable codes and company requirements during IMIR clearance.
- Perform welding procedure qualification and maintain PQRs for structural, tank, and piping work.
