Role overview

Manual and functional testing

• Analyze requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, specifications, and application workflows; identify gaps and risks.
• Create scenarios, cases, test data, and checklists; execute functional, regression, integration, system, smoke, sanity, exploratory, and end-to-end testing.
• Test positive, negative, boundary, exception, data-validation, responsive web, cross-browser, and multi-layer business scenarios.
• Maintain evidence and execution results; support UAT and validate business or client defects.

Automation, APIs, and data

• Build and maintain automated web and API tests, reusable components, frameworks, and regression suites; debug failures and reduce flaky tests.
• Review automation code and work with QA and DevOps to integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines.
• Test REST APIs and integrations, including payloads, status codes, headers, authentication, error handling, asynchronous workflows, and data flows.
• Use SQL to validate data across interfaces, APIs, databases, and integrated systems; check transactions and investigate data-quality issues.

Defects, releases, and collaboration

• Reproduce, document, track, triage, retest, and investigate defects using logs, API responses, database results, and other evidence.
• Support testing across development, QA, UAT, staging, and production; perform deployment smoke tests and release-readiness validation.
• Communicate unresolved defects, test limitations, blockers, and quality risks; contribute to root cause analysis and QA process improvements.
• Participate in delivery ceremonies, maintain requirements-to-test traceability, and own assigned testing activities through completion.

AI-assisted quality engineering

• Use approved AI-assisted tools for test cases, automation, test data, documentation, and defect analysis; validate outputs and follow security, confidentiality, and responsible-use requirements.

Required qualifications

• 3–6 years of hands-on Software Quality Assurance or Quality Engineering experience, including both manual testing and test automation.
• Knowledge of SDLC, STLC, test design, and functional, regression, integration, system, exploratory, and end-to-end testing.
• Automation experience with Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, or equivalent; programming or scripting in Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, or another relevant language.
• REST API testing with Postman or comparable tools; working SQL and database validation knowledge.
• Experience with defect/test-management tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, TestRail, Zephyr, Xray, or equivalent; familiarity with Git.
• Basic CI/CD knowledge, troubleshooting experience, understanding of HTTP, REST, JSON, authentication, web architecture, and Agile/Scrum or hybrid delivery.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, clear technical communication, collaboration, ownership, and attention to detail.

Technical fluency

• Testing may involve responsive web applications, REST/SOAP APIs, frontend and backend services, microservices, enterprise integrations, relational and NoSQL databases, and authentication.
• Other relevant environments include cloud-hosted applications, CI/CD pipelines, event-driven processes, logs and monitoring, and deployment and release workflows.

Preferred qualifications

• Experience in IT consulting, technology services, GDCs, global client support, or distributed engineering teams is preferred.
• Experience with enterprise applications, digital platforms, cloud solutions, integrations, data platforms, eCommerce, PIM/DAM, ERP, or CRM is preferred.
• Exposure to AWS or Azure, Docker, performance testing tools such as JMeter or k6, OWASP principles, CI/CD tools, or AI-assisted engineering tools is preferred.
• Relevant QA/testing certifications are beneficial but not mandatory.
