Required experience and qualifications
- Proven Python and Pytest experience building test automation frameworks from scratch.
- SDET or QA architect mindset and stakeholder-engagement skills.
- Data-quality automation experience in data warehouse, data lake, or big-data environments, with hands-on Spark.
- Strong SQL for data validation and test data management; CI/CD experience on Azure DevOps.
- Experience with code-quality and security tooling, including Snyk, linters, and coverage, plus Power BI test-reporting dashboards.
- ISTQB certification or equivalent.
Preferred experience
- Investment data domain, ServiceNow, or Dynatrace/Datadog experience is a nice-to-have.
Responsibilities
- Build test automation frameworks from scratch for backend systems and data pipelines.
- Design reusable test frameworks that can be packaged and distributed across teams.
- Automate data-quality testing for data warehouse, data lake, and big-data environments.
- Validate data and manage test data using SQL, including hands-on work with Spark.
- Integrate test automation into CI/CD workflows on Azure DevOps.
- Use code-quality and security tooling and Power BI dashboards to report test results.
