Mandatory skills

• Advanced GCP proficiency across data, compute, networking, Kubernetes, monitoring, storage, and IAM services for cloud-native pipeline design and optimization.
• AI/ML integration and agent development using Vertex AI, BigQuery ML, Agent Builder, and Streamlit; hands-on agents using Glean, Gemini Enterprise, and Claude Code.

Responsibilities

• Lead development, deployment, and support of scalable data pipelines across GCP services.
• Optimize BigQuery SQL and orchestrate workflows with Apache Airflow.
• Use AI/ML and AI agents to detect anomalies, predict failures, reduce incidents, and automate business and operational processes.
• Optimize platform costs and resources, maintain CI/CD repositories, and automate infrastructure and alerts.
• Apply SRE practices, manage incidents and error budgets, and produce post-incident and root-cause documentation.
• Deploy IBM Databand and configure alerting, predictive monitoring, and data lineage.
• Administer GCP access, Composer environments, networks, firewalls, service accounts, Compute Engine, and GKE; perform platform security audits and cleanup.
• Support finance month-end and year-end closures and provide subject-matter support across Finance, Subscription, AdSales, Consumer, Editorial, and Pubops data.
• Resolve business data issues, manage sprint planning and change control, gather requirements, plan deployments, review production releases, and mentor junior engineers.

Requirements

• Have 8 or more years of experience.
• Have advanced proficiency with GCP services and IAM administration for cloud-native data pipeline design, development, and optimization.
• Have experience integrating AI/ML and developing AI agents using Vertex AI, BigQuery ML, Agent Builder, and Streamlit.
• Have hands-on experience building and deploying AI agents through Glean, Gemini Enterprise, and Claude Code.
• Have expertise in SRE practices, including SLIs/SLOs/SLAs, error budgets, incident response, and postmortems/RCA documentation.
• Have hands-on IBM Databand experience for data observability, alerts, predictive monitoring, and lineage tracking.
• Be proficient in Python, PySpark, Unix/Shell scripting, and Google Apps Script.
• Have advanced SQL skills with BigQuery, Vertica, and Oracle.
• Have strong understanding of Apache Airflow for DAG orchestration and scheduling.
• Have experience with Terraform and GitHub for infrastructure as code and CI/CD management.
