The Role

Pet Watch is seeking a diligent and technically versatile QA Engineer & Frontend Developer to ensure our digital platform operates at the highest level of excellence. This is a dual-impact role where you will be responsible for building high-performance user interfaces while maintaining the rigorous testing standards that keep our community safe and our systems reliable. You will play a pivotal part in the product lifecycle, bridging the gap between feature development and quality assurance.

Note: This role can be on-site, remote, or hybrid.

Key Responsibilities

Development & Engineering:

• Build and maintain features using React.js and React Native (Expo).
• Develop reusable and scalable UI components that ensure a premium, consistent experience across platforms.
• Collaborate with backend teams (Node.js / NestJS) to integrate complex APIs.
• Optimize application performance and resolve technical bottlenecks.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and code quality
• Participate in high-level technical decision-making and code reviews.

Quality Assurance & Integrity:

• Design and execute manual and automated test cases, including exploratory testing.
• Conduct thorough API testing using Postman to ensure seamless system communication.
• Identify, report, and track bugs in Jira to ensure swift resolution.
• Validate performance and usability across iOS, Android, and Web platforms.
• Ensure data integrity across our systems, with a focus on MongoDB and PostgreSQL.
• Improve QA processes and testing coverage

Who We’re Looking For

This role is ideal for you if you have

• 5+ years of experience in QA/Frontend Development.
• Expertise in React.js and React Native (Expo) with a solid understanding of JavaScript and TypeScript .
• Proven experience with test automation tools such as Jest, Cypress, or similar.
• Strong API testing skills using Postman.
• Proficiency with Git (GitHub / GitLab)
• Familiarity with CI/CD and Agile workflows.
• Deep understanding of the mobile app lifecycle , including debugging and cross-platform behavior.
