Role Overview
We are hiring a Python Developer to build, evaluate, and improve AI-powered tools and code generation systems.
In this role, you will write production Python, evaluate AI-generated code for correctness and quality, and contribute to model improvement on coding tasks.
The ideal candidate writes clean code and reasons rigorously about correctness.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain Python services, scripts, and tooling.
- Evaluate AI-generated code outputs using structured rubrics and edge case testing.
- Write test cases that validate functional correctness and code quality.
- Reproduce bugs, file clean tickets, and verify fixes.
- Partner with developers and product to raise code quality standards.
- Contribute to evaluation criteria and rubric design for code generation.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 2+ years of professional Python development experience.
- Strong understanding of Python idioms, data structures, and standard library.
- Experience writing unit and integration tests (pytest, unittest).
- Clear written communication for code review and documentation.
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience evaluating AI or LLM output quality.
- Familiarity with Python frameworks (FastAPI, Django, Flask).
- Experience with async Python, type hints, and modern tooling (uv, ruff, mypy).
- Background in data engineering or ML pipelines.
- Open source contributions.
