About This Role
Key Responsibilities
- Source and procure vehicles from dealers, auctions, suppliers, and individual sellers in alignment with showroom inventory needs
- Evaluate vehicles based on condition, mileage, history, market demand, and resale value
- Conduct thorough inspections and due diligence, including service history and documentation verification
- Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and purchase agreements to achieve the best possible value for the company
- Build, develop, and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, dealers, and industry contacts
- Monitor automotive market trends, pricing fluctuations, and competitor activity to ensure strategic purchasing decisions
- Collaborate with the sales and management teams to forecast demand and plan stock levels effectively
- Manage the end-to-end procurement process, including purchase orders, contracts, and delivery coordination
- Ensure all purchased vehicles comply with company quality standards and legal requirements
- Coordinate logistics, transportation, and vehicle intake processes
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of purchases, supplier details, and pricing data
- Identify opportunities to improve procurement efficiency and reduce costs
- Support inventory management by tracking stock turnover and aging vehicles
- Assist in setting pricing strategies based on acquisition cost and market conditions
Requirements
- Proven experience in automotive purchasing, procurement, or a similar role
- Strong knowledge of vehicle evaluation and market pricing
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills
- Ability to analyze market data and make informed purchasing decisions
- Strong organizational and record-keeping skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet targets
- Valid driver’s license (preferred)
