Experienced purchaser supporting procurement of permanent construction materials for building projects in the UAE.
This is a construction-material purchasing role focused on permanent materials in a main-contracting environment.
Responsibilities
- Source suitable suppliers and review quotations against project specifications and drawings.
- Compare offers technically and commercially, negotiate terms, and place purchase orders.
- Work with project and technical teams to ensure materials meet specifications, quality requirements, and project schedules.
Requirements
- Technical degree.
- 5–10 years of construction purchasing experience in the UAE.
- Experience with a main contractor on building projects and hands-on purchasing of permanent construction materials.
- Ability to review drawings, specifications, and material requirements before ordering.
- Experience sourcing and evaluating suppliers, comparing quotations, negotiating terms, and issuing purchase orders.
- Knowledge of the UAE construction materials and supplier market.
