Overview
**Job Title:** Purchase Department Assistant – Construction Industry
Job Summary
We are looking for a Purchase Department Assistant with experience in the construction industry in Dubai.
The candidate will support the procurement team in sourcing materials, coordinating with suppliers, preparing purchase orders, and ensuring timely delivery of construction-related materials and services.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the purchase department with daily procurement activities
- Prepare and process purchase orders and quotations
- Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors for pricing and deliveries
- Follow up on material requests and delivery schedules
- Maintain procurement records, invoices, and documentation
- Compare supplier quotations and negotiate prices when required
- Coordinate with project/site teams regarding material requirements
- Ensure purchased materials meet project specifications and timelines
- Maintain good relationships with vendors and suppliers
Requirements
- Minimum 2–4 years of purchasing/procurement experience in Dubai’s construction industry
- Knowledge of construction materials and local suppliers in UAE
- Familiarity with procurement procedures and documentation
- Good communication and negotiation skills
- Proficient in MS Office and ERP/procurement software
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in a relevant field preferred
- Visa and other benefits as per UAE labor law
- Immediate joiners preferred.
- Pay: AED2,500.00 - AED3,000.00 per month
