Property Technical Engineer

Role overview

Key responsibilities

• Review maintenance requests, technical reports, and contractor recommendations to verify solutions address root causes.
• Evaluate contractor scopes, specifications, quantities, and methods, identifying omissions or unnecessary work.
• Assess quotations for reasonable pricing and identify overpricing and cost-effective alternatives.
• Monitor contractors and verify completed work through site inspections and document review.
• Support tenant maintenance concerns and recommend permanent solutions for recurring problems.
• Review snagging and defect reports and support defect liability period management.
• Research materials, repair methods, and building systems; keep up to date with UAE practices and regulations.

Requirements

• Relevant UAE property maintenance or construction experience is mandatory.
• A bachelor's degree in Civil, Building, or Construction Engineering, or a closely related field, is mandatory.
• Experience with residential villas, apartment buildings, property maintenance, construction, or technical consultancy.
• Preferably 3–5 years of relevant UAE experience.
• Practical knowledge of local contractors, maintenance practices, quotations, and UAE construction standards.
• Working knowledge of civil, finishing, waterproofing, and general building maintenance, plus basic MEP knowledge.
• Ability to read technical drawings, specifications, and inspection reports and assess quantities and pricing.
• Strong analytical, reporting, and communication skills, integrity, and attention to detail.
• Quantity surveying, building maintenance, or construction management knowledge is an advantage.

Working arrangement

• Mainly office-based, with site visits to inspect and verify work across company properties.
• Work location is in person in Dubai, UAE.

Pay

• Pay is AED 7,000–12,000 per month.
