Project procurement

  • Serve as the primary procurement focal point for assigned projects and execute procurement strategies and plans.
  • Translate project targets into procurement actions aligned with cost, schedule, and quality; involve procurement early in development and engineering.
  • Apply procurement processes in line with company policies and external regulations and help identify and mitigate procurement risks.

Sourcing and supplier management

  • Develop sourcing and contracting strategies; identify, qualify, and manage consultants, EPC contractors, OEMs, and suppliers.
  • Coordinate RFI, RFQ, RFP, and EOI tendering; participate in negotiations and support evaluations, cost analysis, and supplier recommendations.
  • Support contract preparation with legal and contract teams, contract execution, and administration.
  • Manage supplier relationships and monitor performance, KPIs, contractual obligations, and ESG/CSR/sustainability targets; help resolve issues.

Project, cost, and team coordination

  • Coordinate with project, engineering, finance, and legal teams and align procurement work with project schedules.
  • Conduct market analysis and supplier benchmarking; identify sourcing alternatives and market trends and risks.
  • Monitor package budgets and cost evolution and contribute to savings, performance improvements, and value engineering.
  • Supervise and support procurement resources and contribute to team development and capability building.

Required experience and education

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering is required; an MBA in Supply Chain, Project and Risk Management is a plus.
  • Minimum 8–10 years in procurement and 4+ years in project procurement or EPC environments.
  • Experience supporting industrial, infrastructure, or power generation projects.

Required skills and competencies

  • Strong knowledge of EPC/industrial procurement, contracting strategies, tendering, commercial evaluation, and complex mechanical, electrical, and construction packages.
  • Understanding of project lifecycle, planning, scheduling, cost control, and matrix project organizations.
  • Negotiation, influencing, commercial awareness, financial understanding, analytics, risk assessment, and total-cost-of-ownership analysis.
  • Strong communication, stakeholder management, interpersonal, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Experience with ERP and procurement systems; strong Excel, data analysis, procurement dashboards, and reporting skills. SAP/Ariba is preferred.

Preferred certifications

  • Preferred certifications include CIPS Level 4–6; CIPP/CIPM, CISCP/CISCM; CPSM/CSCP; PMP or RMP; and FIDIC or contract management certifications.
