Objective And Purpose Of The Job
The Project Manager role is responsible for driving sales growth by identifying and developing new business opportunities, building and maintaining strong customer relationships, preparing and following up on proposals, supporting contract negotiations, expanding the project pipeline, and working closely with customers, consultants, and stakeholders to secure new projects and achieve revenue targets.
Additionally, the Project Manager leads the closure of ongoing projects, ensuring efficient collections from clients and partners while maintaining profitability.
They set the strategic direction for the Projects Department, implement project management systems, and guide a cross-functional team.
Key Responsibilities
- Full leadership on successful closure of existing projects.
- Lead the existing portfolio of diversified partners and contractors and expand necessary specialties.
- Market evaluation screening to identify opportunities and set strategy, building a funnel of leads for future business.
- Identify, develop, and actively follow up on all potential leads for prospective and complex projects.
- Increase company market share by securing the highest possible number of projects.
- Maintain continuous engagement with customers and key decision-makers throughout the project lifecycle.
- Establish solid systems and processes for project management monitoring and control.
- Lead the team across departments, including projects, commercial, biomedical, and supporting functions, as well as sales engineers, project engineers, and site engineers.
- Ensure collections from customers, suppliers, and contractors are managed efficiently.
- Adapt a controlled and clear management system for record-keeping, legal background, financial records, and product submittance.
- Full supporting contract negotiations, expanding the project pipeline, and working closely with customers, consultants, and stakeholders to secure new projects and achieve revenue targets.
- Setting business strategy for the Projects Department's expansion and growth potential.
- Market evaluation screening to identify potential opportunities and set future business strategies.
- Conduct deal-level analysis including pricing, margins, risk exposure, and resource utilization to support informed bid/no-bid decisions.
- Provide data-driven recommendations to Management on portfolio prioritization, pipeline health, and strategic positioning.
- Lead and coordinate a cross-functional team, ensuring smooth collaboration between departments and direct reports, including sales engineers and project engineers.
- Implement systems for improved project monitoring and control to enhance operational efficiency.
- Meet assigned fiscal targets and ensured profitability across projects.
Job Requirement
- Bachelor's degree in Electronics/ Electrical Engineering/ Telecom/ Networking/ IT/ Mechatronics Engineering.
- 7 to 10 years of experience in ELV and MEP related functions is a must plus working knowledge on the quantity surveying is an advantage. Working in healthcare specialized systems is a plus.
- Proven sales experience in medical projects, with the ability to identify opportunities, develop customer relationships, manage project pipelines, and achieve revenue targets.
- Strong background in electrical systems/ ELV/ Telecom and control systems are a must.
- Exposure to technical and commercial requirements pertaining to Engineering standards/procedures are a must.
- Basic understanding of AI and machine learning algorithms.
- Local experience will be essential and/or experience in the GCC is a plus
