Basic Qualifications

  • Required
  • Currently pursuing an associate, bachelor's, or graduate degree in Project Management, Construction Management, Engineering, Business, Finance, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field from an accredited college or university.
  • Must have completed at least your freshman year.
  • Graduation date between Fall 2027 and Spring 2029
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a team environment.
  • This position is not eligible for sponsorship, OPT, or CPT.
  • Preferred
  • Minimum 3.0 GPA.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Interest in project management, utility operations, business processes, construction, technology, or energy infrastructure.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
  • Demonstrated leadership through academic, extracurricular, or work experiences.

  • Where You'll Work
  • Assignments may take place in office settings, operational facilities, project sites, or construction environments, depending on business needs and internship placement. Interns will gain exposure to the broad range of projects that support AEP's generation, transmission, distribution, and corporate operations.
