About This Role

• Construction Project Manager: Manages physical builds. Requires knowledge of safety regulations (OSHA), blueprints, supply chain logistics, and subcontractor management.

A Project Manager (PM) is the professional responsible for leading a project from its initiation to its completion. They act as the central point of contact, ensuring that the project’s goals are met within the defined constraints of scope, time, cost, and quality.

The core function of a PM is to bridge the gap between strategic vision and operational execution. They don’t necessarily need to be the technical expert on the team, but they must be the expert in getting that team to deliver value.

Key Responsibilities

A Project Manager’s duties span the entire project lifecycle, typically aligned with the Initiation, Planning, Execution, Monitoring & Controlling, and Closing phases.

1. Initiation & Planning

• Define Scope: Work with stakeholders to clearly define the project’s objectives, deliverables, and success criteria.
• Develop Project Plan: Create a detailed roadmap, including timelines, milestones, and task dependencies.
• Resource Planning: Identify the skills, team members, budget, and tools required.
• Risk Management: Proactively identify potential risks (e.g., budget cuts, technical challenges) and develop mitigation strategies.
• Kick-off: Align the team and stakeholders on the project vision, roles, and expectations.

2. Execution & Monitoring

• Team Leadership: Assign tasks, remove blockers, and maintain team morale. This involves daily management, stand-ups, and workflow optimization.
• Budget Management: Track actual spend against the forecast and manage any financial variances.
• Stakeholder Communication: Provide regular status reports (e.g., weekly dashboards) to executives, clients, and team members regarding progress, risks, and changes.
• Quality Control: Ensure deliverables meet the required standards and acceptance criteria.
• Change Management: Manage the "change control" process—evaluating the impact of new requests on timeline and budget, and deciding whether to approve or reject them.

3. Closure & Handover

• Final Delivery: Ensure all deliverables are accepted by the client or stakeholder.
• Documentation: Archive project documents, contracts, and “lessons learned” for future reference.
• Release Resources: Formally close out contracts for vendors and reassign internal team members.
• Post-Mortem: Facilitate a retrospective meeting to analyze what went well and what didn’t to improve future projects.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: QAR180,000.00 - QAR300,000.00 per year

Expected hours: 40 per week
