Role overview

SAP service delivery

• Lead end-to-end SAP AMS for manufacturing and MES-integrated processes, including incidents, service requests, problems, changes, enhancements, releases, and improvements.
• Own major incident handling, support procedures, L2/L3 teams, escalation paths, shift coverage, resource plans, and technical quality standards.
• Maintain service levels and KPIs, run service reviews, and manage risks, capacity, priorities, release calendars, and executive reporting.

MES integration and manufacturing

• Provide design authority across SAP S/4HANA or ECC, MES, shop-floor equipment, middleware, quality systems, warehouse systems, and other operational technology.
• Ensure reliable exchange of production orders, routings, bills of material, work instructions, confirmations, material consumption, goods movements, quality results, equipment status, labor data, serialization, and genealogy records.
• Review solution designs, specifications, mappings, custom developments, interfaces, testing, deployment plans, and rollback procedures.

Operations and security

• Lead monitoring, performance tuning, interface reconciliation, batch-job governance, defect elimination, problem management, and support automation.
• Coordinate with production, engineering, quality, supply chain, warehouse, cybersecurity, infrastructure, Basis, development, integration, and vendors.
• Support continuity, disaster recovery, audit readiness, access reviews, vulnerability remediation, patching, and evidence retention.
• Follow customer security policies and ensure changes are authorized, tested, documented, traceable, and supported by audit evidence.

Experience and technical background

• Requires 15–18 years of experience and deep expertise in SAP manufacturing processes.
• Requires hands-on SAP PP, PP-PI, MM, QM, PM, and EWM or WM knowledge and integration with MES.
• Requires deep experience with SAP Manufacturing Execution, SAP Digital Manufacturing, SAP MII, or a leading third-party MES product.
• Requires design and support experience for discrete, repetitive, or complex manufacturing processes, including execution, quality, rework, traceability, serialization, and as-built records.
• Requires knowledge of SAP–MES integration using interfaces and middleware such as IDocs, BAPIs, RFCs, APIs, web services, OData, SAP Integration Suite, or SAP PI/PO.
• Requires ability to diagnose across SAP, middleware, MES, databases, networks, and operational technology layers.

Tools and technical skills

• Relevant tools include ServiceNow, SAP Solution Manager, SAP Cloud ALM, or equivalent IT service management and monitoring platforms.

Security and compliance

• Operate under customer security policies, approved data-classification rules, least-privilege access, secure administration, and need-to-know principles.
• Support applicable UAE information assurance, data protection, cybersecurity, export-control, and customer-mandated defence requirements.
• Apply secure development and integration practices, including privileged-access controls, encryption, logging, monitoring, vulnerability management, and controlled movement of data between enterprise and operational technology zones.
