Role overview

Hexagon Autonomous Solutions is seeking a Project Manager for its Aerospace and Defense Business Area.

The role leads planning and execution for technological products involving hardware and/or software development.

The position reports to the Engineering Manager, Aerospace and Defense Engineering.

The position can be based in Calgary, Alberta.

Responsibilities

  • Lead product and/or software development projects across schedule, scope, cost, and quality.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and cross-functional development teams.
  • Monitor and communicate project issues, risks, changes, and status.
  • Oversee approvals and ensure project information is shared promptly.
  • Foster collaboration, address team concerns, and manage conflict.
  • Prepare regular project status and dashboard updates.

Must-have qualifications

  • Experience with digital hardware, embedded firmware, or software development and/or testing.
  • At least three years of combined product development and project management experience.
  • Solid understanding of project management methodologies.
  • Experience with MS Project, Jira, and Confluence.
  • Ability to coordinate cross-functional work and address complex issues independently.
  • Ability to multitask and adapt to changing priorities and timelines.
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal communication, and written communication skills.
