Role overview

Project initiation

• Prepare execution strategy and detailed contract-based schedule with milestones before project kickoff.
• Obtain, review, and approve drawings; monitor rework and resubmissions through final client approval.
• Coordinate finance approvals, define project organization and competencies, recruit key team members, and mobilize resources.
• Evaluate subcontractors and support selection; ensure site assessments, soil testing, and procurement are on schedule.
• Finalize the Project Quality Manual and Health and Safety Manual and establish stakeholder relationships.

Execution and completion

• Deploy resources and ensure materials, logistics, and site readiness align with the project plan.
• Monitor site activity and progress against schedule, quality, budget, contract, client requirements, and company standards; propose corrective actions.
• Ensure quality and safety processes are followed; monitor non-conformance reports and lost time incidents and prepare risk mitigation plans.
• Hold project reviews, assess design and site progress using SPI, CPI, and EVM, and present status and actions to management.

Teams, clients, and subcontractors

• Guide project teams, coordinate communication, conduct weekly site reviews, and ensure induction and team engagement.
• Maintain client and consultant relationships; provide progress reports, secure approvals, coordinate inspections, and manage contractual variations.
• Oversee subcontractor mobilization, work plans, reporting, quality, and safety implementation.

Reporting, financial, and statutory duties

• Review department reports and submit agreed EHS, quality, schedule, and cost reports to management and the client.
• Prepare and review budgets, control costs and profitability, achieve sales targets, and ensure timely invoicing and collections.
• Develop and implement claims strategies and manage contracts with internal and external stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and safety, environment, and community policies; lead local legislative and administrative authority bidding.

Role requirements

• BE in Electrical.
• 15 to 20 years of experience in electrical, civil, or mechanical aspects of substation projects.
• Project management experience on medium- or large-size EPC projects.
