Project Manager

About the role

Key responsibilities

• Manage projects from planning and mobilisation through execution, handover, and close-out; prepare schedules and look-ahead plans for site teams.
• Anticipate drawing conflicts, approval delays, material shortages, access restrictions, and trade coordination problems; arrange resources and subcontractors in advance.
• Coordinate fit-out, interior, joinery, and MEP works, ensuring proper sequencing and avoiding clashes or rework.
• Review drawings, specifications, BOQs, and site conditions; monitor procurement, submittals, long-lead items, and deliveries.
• Supervise site engineers, supervisors, and subcontractors; liaise with clients, consultants, suppliers, building management, and authorities.
• Monitor costs, resource use, and variations; inspect workmanship, quality, and safety; maintain reports and risk/action records and provide recovery plans.
• Coordinate inspections, snagging, testing and commissioning, handover documentation, and final completion.

Requirements

• Previous UAE experience in project management and site execution is mandatory.
• Strong understanding of site operations, construction sequencing, and coordination between trades; ability to anticipate risks and resolve problems.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, BOQs, specifications, and project schedules.
• Strong leadership, communication, organisation, and subcontractor management skills; ability to balance quality, safety, cost control, and deadlines.
• A degree or diploma in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline is preferred.
• Fit-out and interior experience, joinery knowledge, MEP coordination, UAE approvals familiarity, project scheduling software proficiency, and a valid UAE driving licence are added advantages.
