Project Financial Analyst I role with Syneos Health's Clinical Solutions organization.
The role supports financial reporting and analysis for assigned areas in a life sciences services business.
Core responsibilities
- Develop financial reporting, controls and procedures for accurate, timely group reporting.
- Analyze financial data and business metrics and prepare reports for global management.
- Prepare budgets, cost rates, forecasts, utilization and headcount reports, revenue backlog analysis and gross profit reporting.
- Produce monthly financial reports, commentary and other analysis for senior management.
- Recommend improvements to reporting timeliness, accuracy and efficiency.
- Investigate financial results, provide insights into growth and profitability, and assist with Finance projects.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting or Finance, or equivalent education and experience.
- Zero to two years of work experience.
- Pharmaceutical or CRO experience is required.
- Advanced Microsoft Office proficiency, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint; proficiency with accounting software is necessary.
- Experience with Oracle Finance is preferred.
- Able to work with confidential data and demonstrate accuracy, attention to detail, organization, teamwork and communication skills.
Additional financial qualifications
- Use protocol and subject data to build subject visit forecasts across cohorts, arms or subject status.
- Review Medidata CTMS data for additional forecast calculations, including missing screen-failure costs.
- Identify data inconsistencies such as visit-rate changes or currency entry errors.
