Core responsibilities

• Evaluate and apply standard engineering techniques and procedures on small projects or portions of larger projects.
• Handle testing, installation, commissioning, and project documentation activities.
• Prepare engineering proposals, bills of materials, and estimated engineering hours.
• Support contract change management, including scope, cost, schedule, and risk impacts.
• Create work plans and cost estimates and ensure quality deliverables are completed on time and within cost targets.
• Complete Power Management System risk and opportunity assessments and report issues with recommendations.
• Coordinate technical requirements and supplier evaluations with the Supply Chain function.
• Coordinate work with entry-level engineers, technicians, and administrative staff.

Qualifications

• At least 4 years of relevant experience in engineering and commissioning of Power Management Systems.
• Experience with primary equipment monitoring and control, load shedding, load sharing, and synchronization.
• Hands-on experience designing substation network architecture and control philosophy for process or power plants.
• Working knowledge of utility communication protocols, DCS application engineering tools, controllers, protocol gateways, data concentrators, and manufacturer IEDs.
• Experience creating IEC, ICD, CID, and SCD files for IEC 61850 systems.
• Bachelor's degree of four years or equivalent experience.
• Willingness to travel nationally and internationally up to 70% and possession of a valid international passport.
