Role overview

The Service Sales Specialist is part of ABB's Electrification business area and Service Division in Qatar.

The role drives service sales, generates opportunities, secures profitable sales, and develops customer relationships.

The stated work model is onsite.

Responsibilities

  • Drive the service sales process with the Service Sales Manager and generate profitable opportunities in designated areas.
  • Penetrate the installed base by promoting upgrades, retrofits, and value-added solutions.
  • Understand channel strategy and related pricing; prepare and review sales plans and propose recovery plans when needed.
  • Generate leads and develop market opportunities using market trends and potential service portfolios.
  • Promote ABB service products and solutions at campaigns, trade fairs, exhibitions, conferences, and customer meetings.
  • Build long-term customer relationships and respond promptly to customer needs and issues.

Qualifications

  • Familiarity with Salesforce and experience in Qatar's Infrastructure and Utilities market.
  • Current driving licence valid in Qatar.
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering and 1–3 years of service sales experience.
  • Solid understanding of electrical products such as circuit breakers, isolators, and switchboards.
  • Sales and communication skills; teamwork, self-motivation, and a proactive attitude.
  • Ability to travel for factory acceptance tests, training, and customer meetings.

Reporting and business area

The role reports to the Qatar Marketing & Sales Manager.

The position contributes to ABB's Service Division in Qatar.
