Role overview

Responsibilities

• Draft specifications and procedures for tenders, projects, and designs within the agreed framework and customer and contract requirements.
• Design and develop technical solutions, offer customer alternatives, and minimize risks.
• Determine scope, staffing, planning, and budgets for small projects, less-complex tenders, and parts of complex projects.
• Supervise and assess colleagues’, subcontractors’, and customers’ work against project requirements.
• Report progress and identify schedule, engineering-capacity, quality, or cost deviations against requirements and budgets.
• Advise and assist with execution, sometimes on location, and provide logistical support.
• Improve departmental processes and procedures and evaluate engineering processes.

Qualifications and experience

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering.
• 5–10 years of relevant experience at an infrastructure contractor, including relevant methods, techniques, software, and models.
• Good knowledge of CAD, QGIS, and Excel; the description also mentions Primavera planning software.
• Relevant project management experience and good written and spoken English are required.
• Dutch proficiency is an asset.
