Project Engineer - Fit-out

Key Responsibilities

• Support the Project Manager in planning, scheduling, and tracking project execution from kickoff to handover
• Prepare and maintain project programs/schedules (MS Project or equivalent); update progress and flag delays
• Review architectural, joinery, and MEP drawings; coordinate revisions and approvals with design team
• Coordinate with in-house joinery factory, landscaping team, and external subcontractors on deliverables and timelines
• Track authority approval processes and ensure documentation is submitted on time
• Assist with cost tracking — comparing actual spend against budget, flagging variations
• Prepare project reports, meeting minutes, and client/consultant correspondence
• Coordinate site visits, inspections, and quality checks alongside the Site Engineer/Supervisor
• Maintain organized project documentation: drawings, submittals, RFIs, variation orders, snag lists
• Support handover process — compiling as-built drawings, warranties, and O&M documentation

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Project Engineer in fitout, interior, or construction projects in the UAE
• Working knowledge of Dubai regulatory approval processes (Municipality, DDA, Trakhees etc)
• Strong understanding of fitout project workflows - design, procurement, production, site execution
• Proficiency in MS Project, Excel, and AutoCAD
• Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple workstreams and documentation simultaneously
• Good communication skills in English; Arabic is an advantage
• Engineering degree (Civil/Architectural) or equivalent technical qualification
• Valid UAE driving license preferred
• Detail-oriented with strong follow-up and coordination skills
