Project Engineer (Electrical & Instrumentation) - Oil & Gas | ADNOC Experience Mandatory

Role overview

Location and work arrangement

• Location: Abu Dhabi, UAE.
• Candidates must be willing and available to work offshore for five months.

Compensation

• Salary: AED 12,000–18,000 per month.

Project planning and engineering

• Plan, coordinate, and supervise Electrical & Instrumentation activities for Oil & Gas projects.
• Manage delivery from conceptual engineering and design through commissioning and handover.
• Develop objectives, execution plans, schedules, and technical deliverables; monitor progress and implement corrective actions.
• Coordinate project resources, manpower, and engineering activities.
• Review engineering drawings, P&IDs, electrical single-line diagrams, loop diagrams, and technical specifications.
• Supervise installation, testing, troubleshooting, and commissioning; coordinate engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning activities.

Cost, coordination, and reporting

• Prepare technical specifications, cost estimates, and project requirements; coordinate procurement and material requirements.
• Monitor budgets, expenditures, and resource utilization; review contractor quotations, technical bids, and project contracts.
• Coordinate with project managers, maintenance supervisors, engineering foremen, contractors, and technical teams.
• Prepare daily progress updates, weekly and monthly reports, and engineering documentation; monitor schedules, work orders, and deliverables.
• Communicate requirements, proposals, and progress to clients and stakeholders; identify technical challenges and recommend solutions.
• Ensure compliance with quality standards, HSE procedures, and company policies.

Mandatory eligibility

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Instrumentation, Electronics, or E&I Engineering, and a master’s degree in Engineering or a relevant technical discipline.
• Five to ten years of relevant Electrical & Instrumentation project engineering experience in Oil & Gas.
• Previous ADNOC project experience and UAE/GCC work experience are mandatory.
• Candidates must be willing to work offshore in Abu Dhabi for five months.
• Relevant experience includes project planning, execution, supervision, commissioning, costing, budgeting, procurement, contractor coordination, technical documentation, scheduling, installation, testing, and troubleshooting.
