Project Engineer (Developer Experience)

Role overview

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily site operations and progress against the approved project schedule and baseline; monitor planned versus actual progress and flag potential construction or procurement delays.
• Coordinate Project Managers, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, procurement, and site teams.
• Ensure construction meets approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, safety regulations, and UAE requirements.
• Manage drawings, permits, progress reports, inspections, and project records; resolve technical, construction, and coordination issues.
• Monitor procurement orders, invoices, deliveries, loading and unloading, material inspections, and quality control.
• Confirm materials meet approved specifications and are available on the project programme; report milestones, risks, challenges, and delays to the Line Manager.
• Apply quality requirements consistently across procurement, drawings, and site execution.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Project Engineer in construction.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, UAE regulations, and quality standards.
• Experience monitoring progress, coordinating procurement, and managing sites.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
• Strong communication, coordination, reporting, and problem-solving skills.
• UAE construction experience is preferred.
