Job Requirements

  • Professional Engineer (P.E.) license in Alabama or ability to obtain licensure by comity[DC1.1]
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Experience managing ALDOT, municipal, private, or public-sector transportation projects.
  • Understanding of roadway, bridge, drainage, asphalt paving, concrete paving, traffic control, and utility construction.
  • Demonstrated experience with contract administration, change orders, estimates, pay quantities, and construction documentation.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2 years of experience in engineering, project management, construction management, CE&I, or public infrastructure projects.
  • Prior ALDOT Project Engineer or District-level construction oversight experience.
  • Experience with ALDOT construction platforms—SiteManager and AASHTOWare Project
  • Experience with bridge construction, reinforced concrete structures, box culverts, MSE walls, pile foundations, and interchange projects.
