Job Description

Parsons is seeking an exceptional

Project Director

to lead the successful delivery of a landmark, multi-phase venue and infrastructure program.

In this leadership role you will be responsible for end-to-end project execution from mobilisation, design, and procurement through construction, commissioning, and final handover.

The Project Director will drive seamless integration with existing assets while ensuring alignment with client objectives and operational requirements.

The role demands a strong focus on programme delivery balancing schedule, cost, quality, sustainability, and operational excellence—to deliver a world-class, future-ready destination.

What You'Ll Be Doing

  • Lead the overall delivery of a large, multi‑phase venue and infrastructure development from mobilisation through design, procurement, construction, commissioning, and handover.
  • Act as the primary interface with the client, stakeholders and authorities, managing expectations and securing required approvals and NOCs.
  • Ensure full integration of new works with existing facilities, including concourses, parking structures and masterplan infrastructure.
  • Oversee planning and delivery of exhibition halls and supporting facilities (offices, in‑hall F&B, washrooms, prayer rooms, EMS, storage, back‑of‑house areas and service yards).
  • Lead multi‑disciplinary design management, aligning architecture, structure, MEP, ICT and infrastructure with the project brief and operational requirements.
  • Direct project phasing, logistics and programming to meet key milestones, minimise disruption to ongoing operations and maintain safe, efficient site access.
  • Manage budgets, forecasts and value engineering initiatives, ensuring economical design and adherence to cost, time and quality targets.
  • Champion sustainability, supporting applicable green building targets and incorporating efficient systems and smart building solutions.
  • Oversee risk management, change control, quality assurance and HSE performance across all project stages.
  • Ensure successful testing, commissioning, training and handover so facilities are fully operational and ready for major events.

What Required Skills You'Ll Bring

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture or a related discipline; a Master’s degree in a relevant field is an advantage.
  • Professional membership or chartered status (e.g. PMP, RICS, CEng, or equivalent) is desirable.
  • Minimum 20+ years of experience in the delivery of large‑scale, complex construction or infrastructure projects, with at least 10 years in a senior leadership role (Project Director or equivalent).
  • Demonstrable major project experience, preferably on multi‑disciplinary developments such as exhibition and convention centres, mixed‑use buildings, airports, or comparable complex facilities.
  • Proven track record in managing multi‑disciplinary teams and multiple work packages, including design consultants, contractors, specialists and suppliers.
  • Strong commercial and contractual acumen, with experience in administering major consultancy and construction contracts and managing change, claims and risk.
  • Extensive experience in project planning, phasing and logistics in complex, live or operational environments.
  • Strong understanding of design and construction processes across architecture, structure, MEP, infrastructure and fit‑out, with the ability to challenge and optimise solutions.
  • Experience in implementing and overseeing project controls, including schedule, cost, risk, reporting and governance frameworks.
  • Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and drive performance at all levels.
  • Ability to work under pressure, manage competing priorities, and maintain focus on strategic objectives while resolving day‑to‑day issues.
  • Parsons equally employs representation at all job levels no matter the race, color, religion, sex (including pregnancy), national origin, age, disability or genetic information.
  • We truly invest and care about our employee’s wellbeing and provide endless growth opportunities as the sky is the limit, so aim for the stars!
