Key Responsibilities
- Conduct Environmental Impact Assessments, Environmental Due Diligence, compliance reports and related environmental safeguard studies for environment and health & safety requirements of international financial institutions such as IFC, The World Bank, ADB, JICA, and other multilateral agencies
- Conduct EIA study for environmental clearance
- Preparation and review of environment, health & safety audits related compliance reports focused on national regulations for under construction or operational projects related to infrastructure and manufacturing units
- Preparation and review of environment management plans, management system and compliance reports
- Coordinate with project authorities, consultants, contractors, government agencies, local communities and environmental monitoring team on environmental safeguard matters
- Preparation of reports, presentations, monitoring frameworks, and project documentation
- Contribute to implementation and monitoring of environmental safeguard measures throughout the project lifecycle
- Desired Profile
- Minimum 8 years of relevant professional experience in environmental safeguard and development sector assignments
- Strong understanding of environmental safeguard frameworks and lender requirements including IFC, World Bank, ADB, JICA, etc.
- Strong understanding of environment, health & safety requirements of national regulations
- Experience across sectors such as transport, renewable energy, industrial areas, manufacturing facilities, urban infrastructure, or related sectors
- Strong analytical, communication, report writing, and stakeholder management skills
- Preferred Qualification
- Postgraduate degree in environmental engineering, environmental science or related discipline (followed by degree/certification in industrial health & safety will be desired)
