Key responsibilities

  • Lead the commissioning and configuration of Power Management Systems (PMS), Energy Management Systems (EMS), Power Plant Controllers (PPC), and Microgrid Controllers (MGC)
  • Implement and tune PPC controller.
  • Configure and commission Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) control including SOC management, charge/discharge scheduling, and hybrid dispatch optimization.
  • Design, implement, and commission Power Automation systems for Oil & Gas, Industrial, and Utility applications.
  • Program and configure PLC/RTU systems for power management applications.
  • Prepare, coordinate, and execute Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) with equipment manufacturers
  • Lead Site Acceptance Tests (SAT) as per approved client formats and procedures
  • Essential requirements
  • Configure and test multiple communication protocols including Modbus RTU/TCP, IEC 61850 (MMS, GOOSE), DNP3, and IEC 60870-5-101/103/104.
  • Implement cybersecurity measures as per IEC 62351 and industry best practices
  • Software Tool hands on experience on multiple software platform such as Codesys, IEC 61131 PLC Tools.

  • Power Balancing
  • Economic dispatch, spinning reserve, import/export control, AGC interface
  • PPC/Renewable
  • Active/reactive power control, frequency response, FRT, BESS dispatch
  • Grid Code Compliance
  • Frequency response, voltage control, FRT, power quality, compliance testing
  • Protection Coordination
  • Relay coordination with PMS, breaker failure, bus protection schemes
