Role overview

Location and work arrangement

• The position is located in Abu Dhabi, UAE.
• Employment is full-time and hybrid, with 50% office presence.

Key responsibilities

• Own complex FDE workstreams from discovery and planning through validation and handover.
• Define delivery approach, plans, quality measures, and acceptance criteria within agreed architecture and governance.
• Translate customer requirements, data, integrations, workflows, and constraints into reliable thin-slice solutions.
• Build, configure, integrate, prototype, test, troubleshoot, and validate AVEVA solutions in customer environments.
• Resolve non-routine technical issues involving APIs, data flows, configuration, AI, security, performance, scalability, and deployment.
• Balance customer value, feasibility, delivery velocity, quality, reuse, and production readiness.
• Coordinate engineers and cross-functional contributors; lead discovery, demonstrations, testing, acceptance, performance checks, and production-readiness activities.
• Create reusable connectors, configurations, templates, components, AI patterns, accelerators, and playbooks.
• Share technical learning, product gaps, constraints, and improvement opportunities with product, R&D, leads, architects, and future engagement teams.

Essential skills and experience

• Typically around 8–10 years of relevant experience, or equivalent demonstrated capability in industrial technology implementation and complex technical delivery.
• Deep hands-on AVEVA configuration, integration, testing, troubleshooting, validation, and handover capability.
• Strong knowledge of AVEVA products, customer workflows, industrial data and systems, APIs, cloud/edge, security, performance, and deployment constraints.
• Software development using AI techniques and models combined with application engineering expertise.
• Software design, implementation, programming, connectors, data flows, scripting, and system integration capability.
• Ability to develop AI agents, skills, tools, and plugins using an agentic framework; MAF is preferred.
• AI tools for the SDLC such as Copilot and practical AI/ML and generative AI awareness within technical, safety, and governance guidance.
• Strong technical judgment, customer-facing communication, and ability to translate complex needs into practical solutions.
• Ability to coordinate cross-functional contributors and coach less-experienced engineers while remaining hands-on and accountable.

Success measures

• Independently deliver complex workstreams with clear ownership of technical quality, timelines, validation, and customer value.
• Produce reliable thin-slice solutions that demonstrate measurable value against customer workflows and constraints.
• Make sound implementation trade-offs balancing feasibility, speed, quality, reuse, security, performance, and production readiness.
• Create reusable implementation assets that improve future FDE delivery.
• Provide practical learning about product gaps, constraints, and improvement opportunities to product and engagement teams.
