What you'll bring

• A sustained track record operating at enterprise Programme or Portfolio Manager level, including at least five years as a Programme Manager and five years specifically as a Portfolio Manager or Portfolio Lead. Direct accountability for a portfolio of at least 20 concurrent projects and annual expenditure of approximately £5–7 million or more. Proven line-management responsibility for at least eight Project Managers, including objective setting, work allocation, quality, performance and capability development. Strong experience of portfolio governance, prioritisation, demand management, financial forecasting, resource planning, risk, dependencies and benefits tracking. Credibility with executive stakeholders and demonstrable experience presenting clear recommendations to Steering Committees or equivalent governance forums. A record of leading recovery across multiple underperforming projects and restoring delivery confidence. A formal programme or portfolio management qualification such as MSP or MoP, supported by PRINCE2, PMP, APM or an equivalent recognised qualification. Clear, concise communication, commercial judgement and the ability to bring structure, pace and transparency to complex environments. This is an established enterprise portfolio leadership role, suited to someone already operating successfully at a comparable scale and complexity.
