About the Role

An exciting opportunity to join the Qatar Airways IT - PMO team as Program Manager. This role within IT PMO is responsible for driving IT sourcing and vendor governance initiatives across IT. This role ensures effective collaboration with internal stakeholders and external vendors to deliver IT products and services that are aligned with organizational standards, compliance requirements, and strategic objectives. In addition, it incorporates vendor performance management by establishing frameworks to monitor and evaluate vendor performance metrics and Service Level Agreements (SLAs), driving consistent quality and accountability throughout service delivery.

Your duties would include:

• Lead sourcing initiatives for IT in partnership with IT Lines of Business (LOBs), QR Procurement, and Legal teams.
• Oversee the end-to-end RFX process from requirements gathering to acquisition of tools, products, or services.
• Lead RFP, RFQ, and Tender processes, ensuring coordination of technical evaluations with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and alignment with QR Procurement policies, while managing the development and review of functional, technical, and non-functional requirements (NFRs).
• Establish Vendor Performance Management framework and enable the monitoring of vendor performance metrics and Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
• Vendor Management aspects such as Performance Management, Pricing, Governance, Change Management, and Information Security/Data Protection.
• Drive accountability and compliance to maintain consistent quality and service delivery.
• Manage and optimize operations of Offshore Development Centers (ODCs) and secondment partners and ensure timely availability of skilled IT consultants for project needs while adhering to QRG policies
• Collaborate with QR Procurement and Contracts Department to evaluate current procurement processes and templates to identify areas for streamlining and adapting processes for IT-specific products and services.
• Lead key IT projects and programs assigned by the line manager.
• Ensure alignment with IT PMO governance standards and organizational objectives.

Qualification

We are looking for a passionate and experienced professional to join our IT - PMO team. The ideal candidate should possess the following:

• Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent with Minimum 15 years of job-related experience
• Minimum 5 years of experience in procurement and vendor management for an IT function.
• Experience in leading IT projects, of which at least 3 years should be in successful delivery of large-scale Programs.
• Proven experience in managing IT partners & related contracts.
• PMP certification or demonstrable Project & Program Management experience.
• Managerial skills - Ability to delegate work, set clear direction and manage workflow. Strong mentoring and coaching skills. Ability to train and develop subordinate's skills. Ability to foster teamwork among team members.
• Airline Industry experience though not essential would be an added advantage.
