Role overview

Outcomes and responsibilities

• Plan and design programs, monitor progress, resolve issues, and initiate corrective actions.
• Manage delivery across software development, hardware procurement, formal tests, shipping and logistics, customer acceptance, and training.
• Coordinate with engineering, operations, legal, finance, sales, product, and software teams.
• Communicate project status and issue resolutions to management and key customers.
• Establish program baselines and schedules and create, review, and execute Statements of Work.
• Participate in negotiations on contracts, changes, specifications, budgets, milestones, and terms.
• Track program requirements and performance, lead risk and opportunity practices, and ensure relevant compliance.
• Present to customers and internal stakeholders and identify customer growth opportunities.

Requirements

• Demonstrated hands-on program or project management experience.
• At least five years as a program manager, project manager, integrated program team lead, or in a similar role.
• Knowledge of project management skills, tools, and supporting software.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to manage a project team and communicate with customers and stakeholders.
• Ability to develop and control program plans and cost and schedule baselines.
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical or business field.
• Knowledge of remote sensing, GIS, Earth observation, and/or SAR is preferred.
• Familiarity with new space business and experience in a fast-paced startup or scaleup are beneficial.
