Production Team Leader - Backshift

We’re now looking for an enthusiastic and driven Production Team Leader to lead our backshift operations. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong leadership skills and a passion for food manufacturing to play a key role in keeping our high‑volume production lines running safely and efficiently.

Lead and motivate a team of production operatives during the backshift

Support team training, coaching and skills development

Create a positive, collaborative and high‑performing team culture

Oversee production operations to ensure all targets are achieved

Maintain workflow efficiency, making adjustments where necessary

Ensure product quality meets company and customer expectations

Ensure full compliance with health & safety standards

Support quality control processes and escalate any issues promptly

Maintain a clean, safe and well‑organised work environment

Respond to operational challenges and find effective solutions

Use production metrics and shift performance data to recommend improvements

Work closely with management to drive best practice and efficiency

Act as the link between production staff and management

Keep clear, open communication across the shift team

Support smooth handovers between shifts

You’ll be a strong candidate if you have:

Experience as a Production Team Leader , Line Leader , Shift Leader , or similar manufacturing leadership role

Strong people‑management and communication skills

Good understanding of production processes (food manufacturing experience preferred)

Ability to problem‑solve and make sound decisions under pressure

A proactive, organised and hands‑on approach

Willingness to work regular backshift hours
